The Fenice Restaurant founded in 1986 by Giuseppe Maresca and Nello Castellano
and still today it’s under their management.

Genuine cooking, made up of traditional dishes from the coastal areas around
Sorrento.

Why was it given the name “La Fenice”?

The Fenice is a mythological bird said to have risen again from its
own ashes.
This name was therefor chosen to bring good luck – should they have
found theirselves in difficulty, they would have been able to “rise again” like
the Fenice with no intention of dying…..commercially of course!

From the beginning, they endeavoured to create a restaurant that everybody could frequent, favouring correct pricing and high standards, overall producing a cocktail of congenial professionalism.

Continual improvements have been made during these years, so as to offer customers the very best in comfort and agreable surroundings.

Today they can proudly say that, after their many sacrifices, they have created a successful business, proving themselves through their patience and perseverance.

All this has been made possible by the support of their estimed clientele, who have believed in them from the start.
